Czech property tax to double in 2024

The Czech government has recently passed a law resulting in the amount of property tax owners have to pay in the Czech Republic doubling in 2024.

There is also now no (cost) advantage when you have your registered address at the property.

Currently, annual property taxes for an average sized apartment in Prague would typically be around 1000 – 2000 CZK, so from next year this would be around 2000 – 4000 CZK/year.
