Rents are rising in the Czech Republic
Due to the large number of properties Sim Property manages we have quite accurate data of real rental trends through our online system, which give a much better representation of the market situation than advertised prices on property portals.
We’ve noticed during 2016 that real rental prices in the major Czech cities, such as Prague and Brno, have risen by around 3-5% (dependent property type and location). Furthermore, the time taken to find a tenant has also fallen.
This is all very positive news for the Czech property market as rents have been stagnant at best for many years now.
The rise in rents is primarily being driven by the healthy economic situation in the Czech Republic and rising salaries (rental supply remains reasonably stable and the population is only slightly increasing).
